Baby Conner Peterson.
When his mom, Laci was 7 and 1/2 months pregnant, his father and Laci's husband, Scott, killed them and threw them in the Berkeley Marina. He then called Laci's mom, Sharon, and told her that Laci was "missing". That was Christmas Eve, 2002. For 4 months, they searched for Laci and Conner, and on April 13th, Conner's body washed up on shore. Two days later, Laci washed up just a few miles from where Conner was found. In Sharon Rocha's book, For Laci: A Mother's Story of Love, Loss, and Justice, she gives this thought:
"She made sure her baby got to shore. She protected him til the very end."
Scott was arrested and eventually convicted of first and second degree murder.
Laci and Conner's story helped push the Unborn Victims of Violence bill, which makes it so that if an unborn child (IDK whether the unborn child has to be viable AKA able to live- with or without support- outside the womb) is injured or killed/the pregnancy terminated, when the pregnant mother is injured or killed, it is counted as a second count of murder/manslaughter/etc.
If Conner had survived to be born, he would be 7 years old as of February 10th, 2010. It makes me sad to think that he never had a chance to be born, his mother didn't get a chance to hold him, and the rest of his family never got the chance to meet him. And his dad is on death row because he was responsible for killing baby Conner and Laci.
I don't know about you guys, but it makes me sad. The poor baby never even had a chance.
